AICPI-IW figures increase
The Labor Ministry has released the All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI-IW) data for November 2021. The figure for November has increased by 0.8 percent compared to October. The AICPI-IW has reached 125.7 in November. In October 2021 it was at 124.9. The difference of these numbers will directly affect the dearness allowance. These figures give an idea of how much allowance the government will give to the employees and pensioners as compared to dearness.

3% DA set to increase
According to DA experts, All-India CPI-IW has increased well in November. Looking at the current data, it is clear that DA should increase by 3% in January 2022. Had there been a fall in the All-India CPI-IW in November, the DA would have increased by only 2 per cent. But, now that the number has increased, the dearness allowance is almost certain to increase by 3 per cent. At present, central employees are getting DA at the rate of 31 percent.
