Anurag Thakur, Union Youth and Sports Minister launched the Fit India app at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in Delhi. At this event, Union Youth & Sports Minister Anurag Thakur said, ‘Through Fit India app, you will be eligible to survey how many steps you have walked and how much workout you have done. You can test your fitness in this app and strive with others. He also said that the app is a huge homage to Major Dhyan Chand, who is an inspiration to the players of India.

The Fit India mobile application is accessible for both Android and iOS platforms and has been formulated to work on basic smartphones as well. From today anyone can easily download this app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store for free.
