Enclosing a copy of the letter number-F.No.7- 17-2022-(49-5) dated 13/12/2022 of the Ministry of Education of the Government of India regarding the above subject, it should be stated that the Government of India dated 26th December, 2022 Padma “Veer Bal Diwas” is to be celebrated across the country on a daily basis as per which the guidelines for the commemoration of the first Veer Bal Day in the schools have been issued. Which is forwarded herewith for necessary further action.

Commemoration of First Veer Bal Day on 26th December, 2022 – Reg.

I am directed to state that Government of India Ministry of Home Affairs Notification No. F.No. 17014/2/2022-IS-VII dated 09.01.2022 has decided to observe 26th December every year as “Veer Bal Diwas” to pay tribute to the great bravery and supreme sacrifice of the younger sons of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh. On December 26, 1705, the tenth Sikh Guru Gobind Singhji, at the tender age of 9 and 6 respectively, sought justice.

2. Accordingly, it is proposed to observe Veer Bal Diwas in all schools across the country and guidelines are attached for reference. As schools are likely to be closed on 26th December due to the winter break, some activities such as a special morning meeting on the last day of school and other activities may be held in the first week after schools reopen.

3. Necessary action is requested to commemorate the 1st

After completion of Veer Bal Diwas proper celebration please report the proceedings to this department.

To create awareness about Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Ji’s sacrifice and

Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji, younger sons of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, tenth

Guru of the Sikhs. To enable students to develop qualities like sacrifice, courage, perseverance,

Displayed through self-confidence, mindfulness and other accompaniments

4. Ongoing activities to imbibe the qualities displayed by Sahibzada Jorawar Singh Ji and Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji among the students.

1. Awareness Generation Activities:

Awareness about the sacrifices and courage of Sahibzadas can be created using any of the following means.

By minute conversation

Try to promote h word games

i Identify and write down the values ​​they have learned from their lives

Sahibjadas and how they can incorporate them into their own lives J. Talk or write about the difficult situation(s) they might face and what they would do when faced with such situations and why.

A quiz can also be held.

3. Art Activities:

Art activities can also be organized for the students once they are well informed about Sahibzada Jorawar Singh Ji and Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji. Students may be asked/guided to:

Create a wall of appreciation on which they can hang thank you cards – made by them to express their gratitude for the sacrifices they have made.

Companions. Card may be addressed to Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Ji

And Sahibzada Fateh Singh G.

b Make promise cards in which they can make promises to companions

c Create a Sahibzada themed New Year calendar (like New Year

around)

This occasion can be used to honor a brave act displayed by any student(s) of the school.

4. Ongoing activities to imbibe the qualities exhibited by Sahibzada Jorawar

Singh Ji and Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji among the students

Sahibzada Jorawar Singh Ji and Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji displayed confidence, steadfastness and courage in the face of atrocities. He was also able to speak and stand against all obstacles. To make our children confident enough to express themselves and ask questions, speak fearlessly in front of others/large audiences; They may be engaged in activities in which they are interested and feel confident.

Apart from the above qualities, Sahibzadas exemplified the qualities of respecting your parents, standing by your faith, being brave and fearless. Schools can devise activities that can be integrated into other curricular activities and that focus on imbibing these qualities in our children.
