For the year: 2023-24 regarding submission of demand for free textbooks through on-line textbook indent system.
Regards to state that as per the above subject, Gujarat State School Textbook Board, Gandhinagar requests for free of cost text books through online textbook indent system for the academic year : 2023-24 from Taluka/Municipality level. For this, government schools of various mediums running in your area, grantee schools, KGBV, DEO owned model school and Gujarat State Tribal Education. Ashram Schools owned by the Society, Tribal Development Department, Scheduled Caste Welfare Department and Scheduled Caste Welfare Department. Online requisition from TPEOS/AOS level has to be submitted on the portal to be launched by the Board to provide free textbooks to the students studying in 1st to 8th.
All TPEOS/AOS shall request the textbooks for the next year 2023-24 on the portal taking into account the number of students currently studying in St. 1 to 8 in the current year: 2022-23 in the detailed schools under their control.
Procedure laid down for submission of demand for textbooks for academic year: 2023-24:
1. Various Medium Government Schools, Granted Schools, KGBV, Model Schools owned by DEO and Gujarat State Tribal Education Society, Tribal Development Department, Sub-caste Welfare Department and under the control of TPEOS/AOS. Ashram schools owned by the growing caste welfare department. Students studying in class 1 to 8 have to be included in this indent.
2. By separating all types of schools by medium, separate schools per medium. The demand has to be submitted on the portal keeping in mind the number of students studying in 1st to 8th. 3. DISE available at the office to the number of students currently studying in the school while on demand
The data, verified with data from CTS, data from set-up sheet and data from SAS will have to show the real need of secondary, standard and subject-wise textbooks for the next year taking into account the actual number of students currently studying in the school. 9. Further, instructions regarding all the above operations can be obtained from the website gsbstb.online. 10. DPEO has to appoint a knowledgeable and efficient employee as Nodal Officer for this operation. This nodal officer has to play the role of a guide at the district level as a whole.
11. All DPEOS, TPEOS and AOS Shris are requested to join the VC to be held through MSTeams on 2/12/2022, 16,00 hrs to guide the work of requisitioning of textbooks online in online indent system to meet the deadline.
